Wow… It’s been a month since I last made a post… The past few weeks have been loaded with exams (which despite more than usual study, has produced results that aren’t what I could/should be getting…) but now that they’re over, it’s time for the Autumn break! (Which, I’m already quickly approaching the half-way of…)

Since school is depressing, let’s start off with what’s been done this holidays hai?

I had sent my current pairs of Shure SE420s for a frequency sweep a few months ago to go because I thought they were faulty. Got them back being told they were fine… Then, towards the end of March, (I believe) I was incorrectly sent a pair of Shure SE425s… Which confused me… And because I’m such a good person, I had sent them back to the addressee a few days ago to clarify the situation… I hope these are mine! XD

Friday night, (the 8th) payed a visit to Chinatown markets. Packed as always… One day, I should actually try some of that street food, despite the possible Food safety concerns I have… =P

Leon and I decided to visit a Coffee shot in the QVB… At first it looked like they tried to make a pattern on my flat white, but thne Leon pointed out to me that it kinda looked like a bird. Especially with that bubble for an eye. Deliberate?

Decided to have dinner at a Korean-Japanese fusion restaurant in World Square called “Zozo”. The food… was so-so… (Reference deliberate) Admitiedly, we didn’t really have enything authentically Korean or Japanese that night, my sister went there a few nights later, and also thought it was “so-so”

Come the following Tuesday, and after a trip to IKEA, (and enjoyed a $3 breakfast) Hopped over to Chatswood and went to a place “Hero Teppanyaki” in Chatswood Chase’s food court. This “Okonomi-yaki roll” was amazing… (I don’t quite understand what it has to do with Okonomiyaki though…)

Re-organising my room to make way for a few purchases from IKEA. My desk now makes me feel like I’m an obsessive otaku… (Which I probably am, but more than I’m comfortable to admit…) And although it looks nice, I’m sure I’m going to be relocating it again sometime in the future. (possibly near future)

Following two anime this Spring season; “Dog Days” and “Steins;Gate”. Two (what seem to be) very different anime.

Dog Days only caught my attention because Mizuki Nana was doing the OP as well as voicing a character. To my surprise, Horie Yui and Mamoru Miyano were also mains, further encouraging me to watch it, despite the seemingly ‘pointless’ plot. But nonetheless, I was impressed by the OP, and when watching the first episode, I thought I was meant to take it fairly seriously… Then… well… it’s seriousness completely dropped after ‘the Hero’ was brought in… (I’m so used to Mamoru as Light from “Death Note” that it just seems wrong for him to voice the character he is. And why is Nana-chan voicing a tiny little loli??? XD ) Ah well, from the studio of Nanoha, I’d like to see some really dark side to the plot develop, but since the Director of Nanoha moved to SHAFT to direct the much more darker “Madoka Magica”, I’m pretty sure this’ll stay ‘pointless’. Nonetheless, it’s nice to have a ‘pointless’ plot for a change… =D

Steins;Gate is proving to be rather intriguing… Two episodes in, moving a little slower than I’d like, but so far there has been a good amount of mind-fuck to introduce the series, as well as a generous helping of moe-ness that doesn’t seem to interfere with the plot. (Yet). Being from the creators of “Chaos;Head”, (Which I know has a dedicated fanbase) I’m hoping that Frontier Works does a much better job than Madhouse did with “Chaos;Head” because that was a complete and utter failure. (And a shame for Nitroplus) The cast, like Dog Days, looks very promising, again, Mamoru plays a main, (loving his character atm), Hanazawa Kana, Tamura Yukari and a relative newbie in the Anime voice acting industry Imai Asami. At the moment, it looks promising, (the cicadas in the background are strong reminders of Higurashi for me) and I look forward to the coming 22 episodes!

Also;Trap! (Yep, get Kobayashi Yuu to play the trap! XD)
