China 2010 – Food and Guilin Road – 22.05.10

Because we went to the Expo on the 20th and 21st, and returning home late on the 19th, I am a bit behind on my photolog.
I also have a lot of Expo photos to sort out. I’ve uploaded what we did on the 20th, but the Expo photos will come later… There’s a lot to write about.

What you see here, is the corner of Yishan and Guilin Roads. A small-ish, local shopping district, close to where I’m staying.

Today, it was raining… This empty area you see is located right next to/on top of the Subway line. It is yet to be developed into super-expensive high-rise.

Frog. (Is yummy)

Pigeon. (Is also yummy)

Crab. (Is again, also yummy)

A McDonalds and Ajisen Ramen along Guilin Road. As well as a lot of bicycles.

An 85C!!! There are some in Sydney. I love their breads, and their cakes are pretty too.

If you aren’t aware, 85 is a growing chain of Japanese baked stuffs… Their cakes (in Sydney at least) I find don’t taste that good, but the ones in Shanghai are really good!

Some taxis here have advertisements now… Wow…

Then dinner… A big meet-up sort of thing with many of our relatives. (As well as the ones from America who we ran into at the airport)

Just some of the Street Cooking Market thingos… They always get my curiosity… It looks nice,,, But… Food safety is something not prioritised… Quite a few people do eat from these places though…
